Geocache Description:

Yes you can drive down to GZ but best if you walk down from the car park - it gets crowded in the summer.

No need to go down to the water level.

Sit and survey the ramp activities and the muggles before you move in for the grab. Please use stealth and replace with the magnet against the metal post.
If you have the kids, please watch them and keep them OFF the 2 boat loading ramps. Its dangerous to play on them as there is often a lot of boat & trailer traffic - and if the Sea Rescue squad have their craft tied up to the pontoons please DO NOT TOUCH THEM.

I am placing this cache here to bring you to my happy place. I love to sit and watch the antics on the wharf, blokes trying to reverse their trailers and get their boats up onto it without getting their car wheels wet!  Impossible, and VERY entertaining at times :)

You can waste an hour here very easily on a good day.  The chatter and the bragging of fish sizes is interesting too!  Fishers and sailors all provide good entertainment!

SA Sea Rescue Squadron has their Headquarters here at West Beach Adelaide, and other flotillas are at Wirrina, Edithburgh and Wallaroo.
The Squadron operates 24/7 and monitors the  coastal stations around the state which provide a watch over marine radio frequencies and radio emergency channels, particularly the VHF network.

Always ready to go and help if any boat or person is on trouble on the sea. They are the Sea Angels :)
