Geocache Description:

A Series of 14 WATER ACCESS ONLY caches on Cedar Lake.
Cedar Lake, also known as Little Esson has over 80% of its shoreline adjacent to Crown Land while a portion on the north shore is bordered by private cottages

The public boat launch at 1401 Cedar Lake Road is shallow and perfect for putting in your kayak or canoe.

The lake is estimated at 63 ha (156 acres) with approximately 5 km of shoreline. The caches are spread out around the lake, with none of them near the private cottages.

Take a break. Of the three islands found on the lake, one of the small ones is perfect for getting out to stretch your legs and enjoy a picnic. Note the best spot to land in the Additional Waypoints.

Bring along a rod, fish found in the lake include Largemouth Bass, Rainbow Trout, Rock Bass, Smallmouth Bass, and Yellow Perch. The lake has been repeatedly stocked with Rainbow Trout.

Grab a grabber or stick for ease in reaching most of the caches without leaving your vessel. Of course, you will also need a pen, perhaps a few of them if you have butter fingers.

It is NOT recommended to do these caches in the winter as the water flow into the lake may result in unstable ice at the shoreline.

Don’t Keel Over:
Why did the kayaker cross the Atlantic?

To get to the other tide.
