Sir Lancelot du Lac alebo Sir Launcelot bol synom kráľa Bana z Benwicku a kráľovnej Elaine. Lancelot bol prvým rytierom okrúhleho stola a nikdy neuspel v jemnosti, zdvorilosti alebo odvahe. Okrem odvahy a zdatnosti na bojisku bol Lancelot tiež rytierom, ktorý neustále slúžil ostatným, a tak mu vo väčšine kruhov dával dobré meno a láskavosť.
Hovorí sa, že Lancelot bol najväčší bojovník a šermiar všetkých rytierov okrúhleho stola, a napriek tomu bol mimoriadne inteligentný a známy svojím šarmom a humorom. Legenda nám hovorí, že ako dieťa zostal Lancelot pri brehu jazera, kde ho našla Vivien, dáma jazera. Vivien sa o neho starala ako o svojho, podporovala ho a z Lancelota sa stal jednen z najväčších rytierov histórie.
A tu začína náš príbeh. Legendárne hradné mesto Camelot zažívalo najväčší rozmach. Kráľ Artuš vládol pevnou a spravodlivou rukou, jeho obyvatelia žili v spokojnosti. 12 rytierov Okrúhleho stolu bolo zárukou mieru, blahobytu a pokoja. Ale tieto časy sa blížia ku koncu. Niečo sa blíži, niečo nebezpečné, niečo strašné. Nebepečenstvo, ktoré Camelot ešte nezažil a ktorému nikdy nečelil. Sir Lancelot du Lac or Sir Launcelot was the son of King Ban of Benwick and Queen Elaine. Lancelot was the First Knight of the Round Table, and he never failed in gentleness, courtesy, or courage.
