When I first moved to Green Bay a few years ago, I found this little slice of "heaven". Looking for a favorite spot to put up my hammock, read and listen to the river and watch the sun set, this peninsula turned out to fit the bill. Not many folks knew about this spot or even how to get to it. Ever since finding it, I've seen several fisherman fishing on the edges.
We hope you enjoy the little hike through this area. Please be careful as you step as the area can get rocky and steep. After a big rain fall it may be difficult to get over to the peninsula, but do your best and don't be afraid to get your toes wet.
The best way to get over to the peninsula-take the river walk to the first set of stairs going down near "fishing dock" , duck under the river walk and tread lightly as you hug the edges getting to the wooded area.
Hope you enjoy!
