Geocache Description:

On May 2, 2000, at approximately midnight Greenwich Mean Time, the great blue switch* controlling selective availability was flipped. Twenty-four satellites around the globe processed their new orders, and the accuracy of GPS technology improved tenfold. Now, said the White House, anyone could "precisely pinpoint their location or the location of items (such as game) left behind for later recovery." How right they were.

Ratings for difficulty and terrain (D/T): Every geocache has a difficulty (D) rating and a terrain (T) rating on a 5-star scale. It is known as the D/T rating. Ratings vary from one community to the next. A 3-star terrain in Banff, Canada, is a different experience than a 3-star terrain in Amsterdam, Holland. Please rate your cache accurately based on standards in your area and guidance in the table below.

Difficulty 5: The most extreme mental challenge. Requires specialized knowledge, skills, tools, or significant effort to find, solve, or open.

Terrain 5: Requires specialized equipment such as scuba gear, a boat, rock climbing gear, or similar.
