Yes, A Three Hour Tour
This is a traditional cache that will take you on a little adventure on the Wildcat Creek west of Greentown. The cache is situated on an island within the reservoir and will require a boat or bit of a swim depending on where you start from the shore. During parts of summer when we haven't been receiving much rain the water may be low enough to where wading may be possible, but there is no guarantee.
You are looking for a larger container with room for swag and various other items no larger than 4 inches wide. I have been wanting to place a geocache much like this for some time and decided to finally go for it. There are several ways to rent kayaks/canoes/etc around the area if one is not readily available to you. A nice trip around the reservoir is recommended as it's a lot of fun and good to be out in the sun and on the water...just be sure to wear sun screen. There are several launch points around the reservoir. A small area for kayaks/canoes by the bridge on 213, the bridge as you are heading west out of greentown on state road 22, behind the softball field in greentown...just to name a few. A larger boat would require a ramp by the bridge on 213 and state road 22.
I hope you enjoy a little adventure on the water! A nifty geocoin and ready-to-hide cache containers are waiting the FTF. Happy caching and CITO.
