"Ping Ping" was the Polar Bear at Sea World on the Gold Coast. The family were on a trip there and my daughter bought a stuffed animal of him. She still has this.
He "Pingping" was also at one stage, according to the Guiness Book of Records, the shortest mobile man in the world. He stood just 74cm tall and would not be taller than my hips. He died in2010 at the age of 21.

Nowadays I associated "Ping Ping" with geocaching. It being the noise made by many a mobile phone of notification of a new cache being published. Events are often interrupted by them.
This cache has been placed near where I found my first ever geocache which has been archived. GC408BR. I did not get a "Ping Ping" at that time but have had many since.
Please ensure it is placed well back into the hole so it is out of sight of passing people.
