L'area del parco può essere schematizza in tre zone: la zona pendici, la zona delle discariche (comprendente la cava e il pianoro di Portella Vignazza, dove dovrebbe sorgere un Centro di Educazione Ambientale che si prefigge di diventare centro propulsore di cultura ambientale e di aggregazione fruibile dalle scuole, famiglie o visitatori), le zone in quota, dove numerosi sentieri, attraversando la macchia mediterranea e le zone rimboschite, costituiscono percorsi panoramici, collegano grotte naturali ospitate nelle falesie a nord e raggiungono le imboccature degli zubbi.
