Josephine Nunn was called "the grande dame of Champlin" and a guiding light for the community. She served as Mayor of Champlin for 12 yrs, she had a thirst for reading and knowledge. This park was named in her honor May of 2010. This is a beautiful park with trails that lead to Mississippi River and Elm Creek Park Reserve. There is an occasional owl that hoots from the trees as well as Pileated Woodpeckers.
