Situado a la salida de las gargantas y congostos del río Vero, en la partida denominada de Campanachal, se alza este imponente y magestuoso puente, siendo uno de los más bellos puentes conservados en el Alto Aragón. Por él se accedía a Colungo y a la sierra desde el camino de Barbastro-Alquézar.
Un estudio arqueológico constató la presencia de dos obras sucesivas en diferente momento histórico, de las que la más antigua y primitiva (posiblemente del siglo XIII) fue posteriormente reutilizada.
Algunas marcas y agujeros en las dovelas del arco indican que contaron con grúas elevadoras para facilitar su montaje.
El arco principal posee una luz (anchura) de 19 metros y una flecha (altura) de 8,5 m. La estructura se complementa con un segundo arco rebajado situado en la orilla derecha.
Estas características le dan el aspecto esbelto y de extraordinaria ligereza que caracteriza su imagen.

Located at the exit of the gorges of the Vero river, in the so-called land territory of Campanachal, this imposing and majestic bridge rises, being one of the most beautiful preserved bridges in Alto Aragón. Through it you accessed Colungo and the mountains from the Barbastro-Alquézar trail.
An archaeological study confirmed the presence of two successive works at different historical moments, of which the oldest and most primitive (possibly from the 13th century) was later reused.
Some marks and holes in the arch segments indicate that they had lifting cranes to facilitate their assembly.
The main arch has a span of 19 meters and an height of 8.5 m. The structure is complemented by a second lowered arch located on the right bank.
These characteristics give it the slender appearance and extraordinary lightness that characterizes its image.
