The puzzle gird is divided into regions by the bold borders. In each region locate 3 stars, the stars need not be adjacent to one another. The numbers in the regions indicate how many stars are adjacent to that cell either horizontally, vertically or diagonally. No stars can be placed in a cell with a number.
After completing the puzzle count the number of stars in each row. The row counts will be used in the formulas for calculating the final cache coordinates.
As a partial check on your solution count the total number of stars. If a grid has 7 regions, you will need to place 21 stars. If 8 regions, then 24 stars.
The final coordinates are computed from N35 11.ABC W106 32.DEF
where
row1 refers to number of stars in the top row of the grid
row2 refers to number of stars in the next (second) row of the grid...
