Geocache Description:


The Methodist Church in Leatherhead was opened on it's current site in 1893, additional premises and halls have been added over the years to serve the congregation and community.

John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, gave his final sermon in the town of Leatherhead.

There is no parking at the church site, there is suggested parking in the waypoints but please pay attention of the local restrictions on the signs.

 

Onto the cache:

At the listed co-ordinates you will find 3 stone plaques in a vague triangular formation.  You need information from each of the 3 but not all of the information is required for the final cache location.

Plaque 1 (bottom left hand corner of the triangle):

The stone was laid on AB/CD/EFGH (in format dd/mm/yyyy)

Plaque 2 (top of the triangle)

Was unveiled on the anniversary of Wesley's final sermon, the date is JK/LM/NPQR (again in dd/mm/yyyy format)

Plaque 3 (bottom right hand corner of the triangle)

On the final line are a range of dates, call these STUV - WXYZ

The cache, which can be reached within a 5 minute walk, is at:

North: 51 (C+D)(F-A).(J+K)(R-N)(H*M)

West: 000 (U-S)(X+U).(V)(Z)(T)

The checksum of all 15 digits in the final location is 54.
