Geocache Description:

18 July 2020, 10:00 - 10:30

Join me on a social hike along the West Butte Trail in Palmer!

We'll meet in the parking lot at 10:00 and give attendees until 10:30 to show up and socialize. Depending on group size, we will hike as one unit or split into smaller groups. Please wear your mask and be prepared to be socially distant. Bring hand sanitizer if you're planning on finding any caches along the trail.

This is meant to be a social hike, and hikers can go at whatever pace they'd like on the trail! Come make some caching friends, or say hi to the ones you already have. The West Butte Trail is 1.5-2 miles long with 880 ft. of elevation gain. Be prepared, there are a lot of stairs. Information about the trail can be found here.

Per the State Health Mandate that came out, outdoor gatherings are allowed as long as 6-foot physical distancing is maintained.  There is no longer a restriction on the number of people for an outdoor gathering.

As always, please take your own personal safety seriously and don't come just for the smiley. Those who are considered a vulnerable population are recommended to continue staying home. Facial coverings/masks are strongly recommended. To properly use gloves as PPE, do not touch your face or phone with the gloves on - use them just for picking up trash and remove them and place them in your trashbag before touching personal items. Always sanitize your hands if soap and water are not available. And keep your distance from others who are not in your immediate household!
