Um diesen Bonus zu finden, benötigst Du die Angaben, welche Du aus dem Adventure Lab - Eine Fahrt durch die Ruinaulta - erhalten hast.

Der Adventure und dieser Bonus ist so ausgelegt, dass Du am bequemsten mit der Zug von Chur oder Reichenau durch die Rheinschlucht fahren und dabei die nötigen Fragen lösen kannst. Zum Schluss steigst Du in Ilanz aus und löst die unten aufgeführte Rechnungen, um zum Bonus-Cache zu gelangen.

Alle Stationen des Advventure Lab  lassen sich auch zu Fuss, mit dem Boot oder dem Auto absolvieren. Dafür wird dann aber mehr Zeit benötigt.

Ilanz - Die erste Stadt am Rhein

Seit dem 13. Jahrhundert verfügt die erstmal im 8. Jahrhundert erwähnte Siedlung das Stadtrecht und wird deshalb als "Die erste Stadt am Rhein" bezeichnet. Verkehrstechnisch ideal am Ausgang des Val Lumnezia (Lugnez) und der Strasse zum Lukmanier gelegen, verfügte Ilanz lange Zeit über die letzte Rheinbrücke vor der Rheinschlucht.

1903 wurde die Vorderrheinlinie der Rhätischen Bahn mit Endbahnhof Ilanz eröffnet. Die Verlängerung nach Disentis wurde erst 1912 vollendet. Auch heute noch ist Illanz ein wichtiger Knotenpunkt des öffentlichen Verkehrs und ein bedeutender Güterumschlagplatz, vor allem durch die Verladestation für das Valser Wasser.

Ilanz liegt auf dem Grund eines eiszeitlichen Sees, der sich vor rund 10'000 Jahre aufgeschtaut hatte. Mit der Zeit frass sich der Vorderrhein durch durch den Schuttkegel und entleerte den See. Zurück blieb die fruchtbare Mulde "Gruob" und die sehenswerte Rheinschlucht, oder eben Ruinaulta.

• Die Geleise müssen (und dürfen) nicht betreten werden. Der Zugang zum Cache ist gefahrlos möglich.
• Der Besitzer des Geländes ist informiert und hat die Erstellung dieses Bonus-Caches aktiv unterstützt.
• Der Stempel ist als Erinnerung für Dich gedacht, also nimm doch Dein "Stempelbuch" oder ein Stück Papier mit.
• Der Stempel gehört zum Bonus und muss auch dort bleiben. (Ein Stempelabdruck davon muss nicht ins Logbuch. Hinterlasse aber gerne einen mit deinen eigenen Stempel, falls du einen dabei hast.)

Wer sich wundert, warum es in einem Mystery einen Stempel hat: Der Bonus war als Letterbox geplant. Seit einer Regeländerung im August 2020 müssen Bonus-Cache immer Mysteries sein.

To find this bonus, you need the information you got from the Adventure Lab - A ride through the Ruinaulta.

The Adventure and this bonus are designed in such a way that you can most comfortably travel by train from Chur or Reichenau through the Rhine Gorge and solve the necessary questions on the way. Finally, you get off the train in Ilanz and solve the calculations listed below to get to the bonus cache.

All the stations of the Advventure Lab can also be completed on foot, by boat or by car. However, this requires more time.

Ilanz - The first town on the Rhine

The settlement, which was first mentioned in the 8th century, has had town charter since the 13th century and is therefore known as "the first town on the Rhine". Ideally situated in terms of transport at the exit of the Val Lumnezia (Lugnez) and the road to the Lukmanier, Ilanz long had the last Rhine bridge before the Rhine Gorge.

In 1903, the Rhaetian Railway's Vorderrhein line was opened with Ilanz as its terminus. The extension to Disentis was not completed until 1912. Today, Illanz is still an important public transport hub and a major freight transhipment point, especially due to the loading station for the Vals water.

Ilanz lies at the bottom of an ice-age lake that thawed about 10,000 years ago. Over time, the Vorderrhein river ate its way through the debris cone and emptied the lake. What remained was the fertile "Gruob" hollow and the Rhine Gorge, or Ruinaulta, which is well worth seeing.
