Geocache Description:


Welcome to Harrisburg!

The Capital Area Greenbelt is a 20-mile multi-use path that passes through Harrisburg and the surrounding suburbs. Points of interest along the Greenbelt include City Island, Wildwood Park, Reservoir Park and the National Civil War Museum, Five Senses Garden, and numerous other scenic spots. Sunsets along the Susuehanna River are sublime and in the warmer months several species of herons and egrets can be seen roosting along the banks. Walk, run, hike, bike, or skate to this cache and enjoy the sights the Greenbelt has to offer.

Parking can be found on nearby Vaughn, Lewis, and 2nd Streets (Do NOT stop on Front Street) just be aware of street cleaning days. If you opt to park near the cache, use the marked crosswalk at Vaughn and Front Streets to access the Greenbelt.
