For Kasumigaura Water, we established a system for supplying agricultural water, tap water and industrial water in a comprehensive and stable manner to the 17 cities and towns in the southwestern part of the prefecture, using Kasumigaura, which has abundant water, and promoted the creation of a rich community. In addition, it is a comprehensive water business that aims to enhance life and industrial infrastructure.
The water pumped up from Kasumigaura is temporarily stored in the Minami Shiio adjustment pond (Lake Tsukushi) in Sakuragawa City through the pipeline. After that, it is transported to the Higashiyamata Regulating Pond, about 70km away from Kasumigaura, through the pipeline again under natural flow.
The Kasumigaura water crosses the Joban Line at this point.

霞ヶ浦用水は、豊かな水量を持つ霞ヶ浦を取水源に、県西南部17市町の地域に農業用水、水道用水及び工業用水を総合的、安定的に供給する体制を確立し、豊かな地域作りを推進するとともに、生活及び産業基盤の充実を図ることを目的とした総合用水事業です。
霞ヶ浦から汲み上げられた水は、パイプラインを通って桜川市にある南椎尾調整池（つくし湖）で一旦貯水されます。その後、自然流下で再びパイプラインを通って、霞ヶ浦からおよそ70Km離れた東山田調整池まで運ばれてきます。
霞ヶ浦用水はここで常磐線を越えていきます。
キャッシュは２８号空気弁工の近くに設置しました。
