Alp Muntatsch
Der Ort
Von der Alp Muntatsch hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf die Berninagruppe und St.Moritz. Wer sich auf den Weg zum Cache gemacht hat, kann sich in den Sommermonaten mit dem leckersten Kaiserschmarrn der Welt oder verschiedenen Südtiroler Spezialitäten belohnen. Zwischen Murmeltieren und Kühen speisst es sich besonders gut.
Die Alp ist zugänglich über diverse Wanderwege, die jedoch nicht das ganze Jahr über verfügbar sind. Startpunkt zum Geocache kann ganzjährig der Parkplatz an der Muntarütsch sein. Die anderen Wege sind von Dezember bis April aufgrund der Wildruhezone gesperrt und dürfen deshalb nicht begangen werden. Der Cache im Winter ab einer gewissen Schneehöhe nicht zugänglich. Die Alp ist auch für Biker gut erreichbar über den "Timetrack Muntatsch", der auch direkt am Parkplatz beginnt.
Der Cache
Zum Cache führt eine Wanderung über 3 km, bei der man eine wunderschöne Aussicht über Samedan bis Pontresina geniessen kann. Im südöstlichen Teil der Hütte ist nicht alles an der Fassade baulich notwendig. Für den Cache ist eine Pinzette empfohlen. BYOP.
The place
From the Alp Muntatsch you have a wonderful view to the Bernina group and St.Moritz. Those who have made their way to the cache can reward themselves with the most delicious Kaiserschmarrn in the world or various South Tyrolean specialties (in the summer months). It tastes particularly well between marmots and cows.
The alp can be accessed via various hiking trails, but these are not available all year round. The starting point for the geocache can be the parking lot at Muntarütsch all year round. The other paths are closed from December to April due to the animal rest zone and therefore must not be used. The cache is not accessible in winter from a certain snow depth. The alp is also easily accessible for bikers via the "Timetrack Muntatsch", which also starts directly at the parking lot. (Information on the Website of Samedan)
The cache
A hike of 3 km leads to the cache, where you can enjoy a wonderful view over Samedan to Pontresina. Not everything on the facade is structurally necessary in the southeastern part of the hut; tweezers are recommended for the cache. BYOP.
