The Wye Valley Treasure Tree is situated on a section of the 136 mile long Wye Valley Walk between Redbrook and Monmouth. It is recommended you start from one of these two locations. The walk can easily be made into a leisurely circular walk returning via the disused railway line. There are several locations along the route (especially from Monmouth) where dogs (and humans) can paddle in the river, so this walk is perfect for hot summer days. Be aware that sheep are often in the fields.
Who knows who decorated this tree or why, but they certainly went to some considerable effort.
The items on the tree are nothing to do with Geocaching and must not be taken.
