Geocache Description:

In a deep valley, 2 km from the coast, there is this typical Dalmatian village Dol. It is a mix of untouched nature and human creativity giving the place its charm. Beautiful Blessed Virgin Mary’s Church with a Renaissance facade is in the village while overlooking it there are many Early Christian little churches. A small Church of St. Peter stands out with the oldest church bell on the island of Brač. What was a lively place some time ago is now a quiet rustic village.

Dol's first officially mention dates back in 1337. Today's population is about 130 inhabitants.

There are several landmarks worth seeing. My attention mostly took small houses built in front of a caves, actualy fused with a caves, while were once inhabitated. Today they are home to a number of owls and mythical Vivers.

The cache is placed in a small curch St. Peter's courtyard, which was once graveyard. To reach the church you will have to enter two metal doors, please shut them on a way back. Or, if you choose a hikers path, then you'll have to enter only one metal door from the back of the courtyard.

The first geocacher who will make his log in a logbook will find a voucher for a cake Hrapaćuša.

The box is a 0,8 liter plastic lock&lock container. Initial content is a logbook, a pencil and a small ladybug
