Geocache Description:

This is a series honoring, memorializing, and remembering the victims of the B.T.K Killer. This series is in no way a way to idolize the killer. Some of this information may be disturbing, or upsetting for some. Finders discretion is advised!

This is stop #1 of mine and my wife's new series. If you are from the Wichita area, you most likely remember hearing about these gruesome murders. This cache series is to remember the victims that in no way deserved this. Throughout the series we will guide you through the history of these innocent victims lives, cut too short. These caches may or may not be placed at the exact location of these incidents. All of these caches are placed with permission, or on public property. Please be respectful of boundaries, as some of these  locations are near private residents. We will not be saying the exact locations of the homes where these took place. If you are curious you can find almost all information online. Feel free to conduct your own research.

January 15th 1974 on Edgemoor st in Wichita Kansas, the city was rocked by news of a horrible event. The Otero family had been gruesomely murdered, not long after moving into the quiet area. This family of seven consisted of 3 young boys, 2 daughters, and mother, and father. Mr. Otero had served in the U.S Air Force, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant, as well as a championship boxer, and a technician. There were 2 survivng boys, and one girl. the younger two children were unfortunatly out of school sick, as well as Mr. Otero.

Mr. Otero: 38

Mrs. Otero: 34

Daughter: 11

Son: 9

Survivng children were aged

Due to privacy of the victims family and friends, this is all the information we feel comfortabe sharing. If you wish to do more research you can find plenty, including documentaries on Google, and YouTube. Please respect boundaries of property. This location can be busy at times, so stealth and awareness is required. If you see any trash please practice C.I.T.O. The next location will be near the intersection of 13th and Hillside, in Wichita.  You are going to be looking for a cammo pill bottle and a ziptie
