A traditional cache located on Ramore Head in the seaside town of Portrush. It is not suitable for wheelchair users and takes you relatively close to the cliff edge. Only go as far as you feel is within your capabilities, do not attempt the cache after dark or on a windy day and it is not suitable for young children. Even older children should be closely supervised. You do not have to go right to the very edge of the cliff to find the cache, it is back a bit. The cache is attempted at your own risk.
There is plenty of parking around although it can be busy in the summer. I recommend parking at the Ramore carpark and walking the path past the play park and winding round the promontory point and up onto the top of it. Walk on a few hundred yards and you get to the cache location. As you walk you have views one way over the small islands known as The Skerries, across the East Strand towards Dunluce Castle and beyond, and the other over the West Bay and to Portstewart, Donegal and The Atlantic.
At GZ be careful of the cliff edge, you don't need to go that close. The cache is a concelaed small former tablet box, please replace the it as found and ensure it is tightly back in its hiding place. After your find take in the view and enjoy the peace. If you want a bite to eat after you will be spolit for choice at the numerous restaurants in the harbour area below you.
