A suvey peg with bison tube inside the top lid...A little post 2nd world war history with tributes to the 5 Service Flying Training School which graduated over 15 hundred pilots and "Kaia", a statue depicting the immigrants who spent time at the Uranquinty Migrant Centre between 1948 and 1952.
Spend some time browsing the history of the Uranquinty area. Lots of interesting history and information.
There is an amenities block not far from the site.At the door to this block there is a striking mosaic that depicts the town's past and present history.Just across the roadway there is an eating house that offers you the time to gather your thoughts.
We had an original container on the statue itself previously, but sadly this was easily muggled.
