Moshav Taoz is a moshav of the Moshavim organization "Hapoel Mizrahi". Located north of Beit Shemesh, on the side of the Heroic Road - Road 44. The moshav belongs to the Yehuda Regional Council. It was stablished in 1950 by Yemeni immigrants on foundations of the Arab village of Beit Sosin, whose residents fled in 1948 during Operation Ben-Nun and were not allowed to return home.
Beit Sosin were known for their hatred of the Zionist settlement enterprise. At the Judean headquarters, the locals had security problems. The moshav is located between Eshtaol Forest and Wasp Forest. Close to the Jordanian border. Most of the residents left and were replaced by immigrants from Kotsin from India. Today the village has a center for the Kotsin community. Only in 1957 were they connected to the electricity grid. The origin of the name is from a verse in the book of Psalms.
I came to Taoz following a desire to visit Kedma Winery in the village of Uriah. I was sent to a place called Ishalham. The place belongs to a guy from Tal-Shahar who studied photography and produced events. He then learned baking and after much effort opened a sourdough bakery. The moshav has blueberry and raspberries farms. The area became famous in 1948 for punishing Beit Giz and Beit Sosin who were very hostile. Following their actions, the Burma Road was paved and the siege of Jerusalem was lifted
מושב תעוז הוא מושב של ארגון המושבים "הפועל המזרחי". ממוקם צפונית לבית שמש, בצד כביש הגבורה
כביש 44. המושב שייך למועצה אזורית מטה יהודה. הוקם ב1950 על-ידי עולים מתימן על יסודות
הכפר הערבי בית-סוסין שתושביו נמלטו בתש"ח (1948) במהלך מבצע בן-נון ב ולא הורשו לחזור הביתה. תושבי
בית סוסין נודעו בשנאתם למפעל ההתיישבות הציונית. במטה יהודה, לתושבי המקום היו בעיות בטחוניות
המושב נמצא בין יער אשתאול ליער צרעה. בסמיכות לגבול הירדני. רוב התושבים עזבו ובמקומם התיישבו עולים מקוצין מהודו.
היום בכפר יש מרכז לקהילה הקוצינית. רק ב 1957 חוברו לרשת החשמל. מקור השם מפסוק בספר תהילים
לך זרוע עם גבורה תעוז ידך תרום ימינך. הגעתי לתעוז בעקבות רצון לבקר ביקב קדמא בכפר אוריה. נשלחתי למקום שנקרא אישלחם
המקום שייך לבחור מטל-שחר שלמד צילום והפיק ארועי צלום. למד אפייה ואחרי מאמץ רב פתח מאפיית לחמי מחמצת
כוסמין ושיפון. במושב יש חוות פירות יער אוכמניות פטל אדום ופטל אודסנה. האזור התפרסם ב48 בהענשת בית גיז ובית סוסין שהיו עוינים
ובעקבות מעשיהם נסללה דרך בורמה והוסר המצור על ירושלים
