The Livermore Area Recreation and Park District is the only place in the entire state that requires an actual permit in order to place a geocache on property under its control. Not only was the permit process completed to see what it was like, but the Jedi Council prefers we abide by local regulations whenever possible. Although the process is onerous, it did not require aggressive negotiations with a lightsaber. So now this geocache is, in fact, officially permitted to exist.
The Sycamore Grove Park is a great location and there is an interesting story located at the primary coordinates. As of publication, there is a $5 daily parking fee, and daily park hours are 07:00 to sunset. Please enjoy the lesson in history, and may the Force be with you.
Thank you to KG GeoCachers and nozy nabor for beta testing this geocache and literally going the extra mile (about 4 extra miles in this case) to discover the mistakes at stage 3. Congratulations on FTF.
