Hamilton cachers try to have an event each month on the 18th day and at 18:00 o'clock (6pm). The next month's event is welcome to be published by anyone and hosted anywhere. Try and keep the date and time the same so we all know that there is an event on the 18th of every month @ 1800 hrs; that way, some of our more pre-occupied local cachers might remember to attend ;-)
It seems that every time there is an event, there is also some kind of mission planned. Whether it's to collect a large number of caches, crack a puzzle or attack a 5/5, someone always seems to have a plan. Sometimes a cache may even get published sometime during the event.
Or maybe you prefer a simple catchup. Share your latest achievement. Show off your photos from trips. Tell tall tales of the one that couldn't be found. Or persuade someone to give you a hint for that tricky puzzle or sneaky hide.
During the covid stage 4 lockdown I spent quite a bit of time trying to solve some of the many "unknown" caches. I was sucessful in some but there are still lots to do. There are a total of 4000 active "unknown" caches in New Zealand of which I still have approximately 1700 that I have not yet solved.
So I thought for this monthly meeting we could bring along one or two "unknown" caches that we would like a nudge on. Alternatively if you have all "unknown" caches solved then bring along one that you found very creative.
In your "will attend" log quote the GC number so other attendees may, if the choose, have a look and maybe come up with some ideas beforehand. Or if they have already solved they may wish to refresh their solve.
If you are not a puzzle solver do not worry. Come along and listen. You may be surprised how much you are able to help or learn
