From the car park it is a 1.5 mile walk through the country park, on good paths, to the cache. The cache is located near to Gawton’s Stone. Local legend says that Gawton was a hermit who lived under the stone and took water from nearby Gawton’s Well. Hence the connection with the song title.
"I am a rock
I am an island
And a rock feels no pain;
And an island never cries"
