Lake Sonoma with a View
I stopped at this gorgeous spot on the cliff overlooking the lake and had my lunch enjoying the spectacular view. I really think you'll like it too.
There are no trails that I'm aware of to reach this hide, and if you do choose to try and walk to it you will be bushwhacking, and you'll easily earn all 4.5 terrain stars! I kayaked around finding hide spots.
Lake Sonoma is generally calm in the morning, but by afternoon the wind picks up and can make the water choppy. Bigger boats and jetskis might be able to get to this certainly if you're willing to jump in and wade to shore.
There is normally a fee for parking/launching (though during this time of Covid its free). Launch coords for public launch, but there is a launch at the Marina also, but this will be a slightly longer paddle.
Coords should be good. Watch for ticks and snakes, though I didn't see any poison oak, this is the wild, so please be aware.
Cache is a medium size camo tupperware hidden in a normal way, plenty above the high water mark.
BRING A PEN, UNSIGNED LOGS WILL BE DELETED!
