The Bluewater Highway (County Road 257) becomes The San Luis Pass-Vacek Toll Bridge for this crossing and was built in 1970. "Historically, San Luis Pass has been a popular "back entry" into Galveston Bay for smugglers and pirates, expect fog and mist often." (https://www.dangerousroads.org/north-america/usa/6560-san-luis-pass-bridge.html) It will take you across San Luis Pass for a $2 fee, but there is no need to cross as your prize is down below. Just exit to the left coming from Galveston to make your way to GZ. This is an all terrain vehicle area so park and walk if you have to, DON'T GET STUCK IN THE SAND! It is easy enough to get to and find but should be safe from the muggles, just don't let them see you! BTW bring mosquito spray!! Have fun!
