Geocache Description:

This cache is not at the posted coordinates.

At some point in the last couple years, I came across the term "Mondegreen". A mondegreen is defined as "A misunderstood word or phrase resulting from mishearing the lyrics of a song". It was coined by an American writer named Sylvia Wright in 1954 when she wrote an article about it. As a child, she would mishear the fourth line of the poem "The Bonny Earl of Murray". Instead of hearing "They hae slain the Earl O'Moray, and laid him on the green." She would hear "They hae slain the Earl O'Moray, and Lady Mondegreen". You can find more information on this on Wikipedia, including well-known Mondegreens in various mediums.

Looking at it I figure this could make a fun little puzzle. Below is a list of 10 lines from songs, eight of them have at least one incorrect word in the line. Two I put in just for fun and to add a little challenge. I gathered the lines from listening to one of our local Classic Rock stations and came up with some pretty quickly.  I am not sure if they are commonly misheard and how much research will be involved in working out the correct lines.. On the other hand, they may just be glaringly obvious. Here we go:

"Just like the one winged dove, sings the song, sounds like she's singing."

"My cat is furry, it scratches my skin."

"Gun down the old man with a transistor radio."

"I bless the rains down in Africa."

"You can't hide your lion eyes."

"We don't wanna change the world." [If you think its the Ozzy song, don't "say you got a real solution"]

"Our love, hose on."  [When you find this one "you'll never find nowhere else"]

"I don't feel tardy."

"Count the head lice on the highway."

"Cause I speak of the piñatas of love."

And there you go. Your task in this is to find the correct word (or words) in each line that is incorrect. Having done that enter the correct words, in order from the first phrase to the last, using the link below. You can enter them with or without spaces between the words. If the word normally has a symbol before or after it (e.g. @!/') leave that out. If the word is normally two words put together (for example the word "rattlegun") put in just the word that is incorrect. (For example, the mondegreen is "he used the rattle sun" you would just enter the word "gun".)

If you need any help on this do let me know.

Have fun!

To get to the cache, take the little trail off the sidewalk (between the stairs).Head west about 10 feet. Then go south for about 10-15 feet. The cache should be roughly 10 feet east of you, under a bush with branches that are almost horizontal. The GPS is a little sketchy in the area, at least for me.

Make sure to grab one of the components needed for the Evolution solution.

Congratulations HikingSeal on getting the First to Find!

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.
