At this time of writing the quote "Mom used to say politeness is deception in a pretty package." from the book "Divergent" by Veronica Roth has been highlighted 12533 times in the Kindle edition. I remember seeing lines like this being highlighted many years ago when I read this book and books of a similar nature. I thought at the time, "some teenage girl is getting her advice for life from a coming of age fictional book about a dystopian society." Kind of an odd place for life advice, but if that is what they want to do, so be it.
Looking at what people would highlight in the above book and other books got me thinking about what I would want to highlight in a book that I enjoy, like some real good life advice stuff. So I took a book that I enjoyed and looked through it. Here is what I came up with:
"Twice each year, the family would drive down to Florida."
"Because of Nostalgia, perhaps"
"They were making good time."
"But she couldn't recall a single biological fact."
"Having never seen an old person's face, she thought the doctors had done it to her."
"No reason for me to be nervous."
"Suspended for a week for drinking beer in biology lab."
"The most ancient and widely revered divinity in human history"
"As if he were coaxing a lone low note from his saxophone bell."
"Raising additional funds with bikini car washes and bake sales."
Okay, maybe those aren't quotes that I would live by; however, if one really looked at them, one could derive the author of the book's name. The author's name (first and last) is the keyword you need to get the coordinates of the cache. Once you work it out, go to the link below, enter it and then go get the cache. If you feel so inclined, in your log add a quote that you would highlight.
