MILITARY SERIES – After spending 20 years in the military and retiring in 2000 as a First Sergeant from the Wisconsin Army Reserve National Guard, I decided to create this series and dedicate it to all of the men and women that served before me, with me, after me, serve today and those who will serve in future generations.
Each of the caches in this series is named after a unit, position, rank or other significant event during my military career.
While some of these may be an easy find, others may require some creative and critical thinking. Look at the rating for each cache as they will vary within the series.
Military Police Platoon, 32nd Sep Inf Bde – Milwaukee, Wisconsin: Here we go again with another assignment back to the Military Police Platoon. This time it came as the Platoon Sergeant/E-7. I knew taking this position that it would only be a two-year assignment as the platoon was being disbanded through reorganization. However, it got me promoted to Sergeant First Class. During this assignment I had the opportunity to work with two different Platoon Leaders. The first one was a brand-new 2nd Lieutenant that was a work in progress and a piece of work. The other lieutenant I worked with was 1LT Sonnen. LT Sonnen was by far one of the best officers I had the opportunity to work with! We retired the MP Platoon together, but we remain friends to this day, some 24+ years later.
