Royal Oak: As the owner has not responded to my previous log requesting that they check this cache I am archiving it. It is not normal to unarchive a cache, which has been archived due to a lack of maintenance.

Geocache Description:

This is one of two caches that we have hidden in the beautiful Windermere countryside. There are several walks that can be combined with your search including Orrest Head, High Borrans and Dubbs Reservoir. There is space for trades and we welcome your comments in the visitors book. We are sure you will agree that this is a beautiful hidden location for a cache, and if you have a four legged friend out for the search with you, they will probably enjoy frollicking in the beck.

The area is actually a National Trust woodland, and the nice folks at the NT were very kind in giving us permisison to hide it here.

This cache has had to be replaced twice due to it being stolen and so a new location was chosen in May of 2018. New coordinates have been entered, but if you are trying to find it and were coming from the direction of Windermere or The Common just concentrate your search around the bridge ;-)
