This geocache is owned and maintained by Lake Metigoshe State Park. Entrance fees apply in the amount of $7/vehicle/day or $35 for an annual pass. Entrance fees can be paid at the entrance station via staff or self-registration, online at www.parkrec.nd.gov or at the main office during business hours. Parking can be found at the Warming House.
Near this cache is the Blue Heron Yurt. All of our overnight rentals are named after birds found nearby. The Blue Heron Yurt is available for rent year-round. It is semi-primitive, having electricty and no water. The yurt is located along School Section Lake and provides beautiful views. The yurt rents for $65/night and reservations can be made by visiting www.parkrec.nd.gov or by calling 1-800-807-4723.
This section of trail is one of the newest additions to the trail system here at LMSP. This trail can be explored on foot, by bike or snowshoe. We hope you enjoy traveling this trail and exploring the park. Consider finding several other geocaches found in the park while visiting.
