The cache is hidden in Golding's Wood, also known as Goldington's, part of Hertford Heath Nature Reserve.
This nature reserve is managed by Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and is split into two sites: The Roundings, a rare Hertfordshire open heathland, in the southern section of the reserve, where plants such as heather, heath bedstraw, tormentil and gorse are a to be found and the ponds and heath are home to good numbers of reptiles and amphibians; and Goldingtons is an area of mixed secondary woodland in the northern section of the reserve and consists of hornbeam coppice and oak and birch woodland.
There are many excellent walks around the woodland. The little village of Hertford Heath is worth a visit too, with a pretty village green and an ecclectic mix of houses, old and new.
The cache is hidden in a brown ammo box in an area of mature Hornbeams.
