Placed at Bury Grounds/Peel Mills
It can be accessed by Magdalene Road or Chamberhall Green, follow the path along the river Irwell to the little weir
Used to be home to a large textile mill but was demolised in 2012, now home to the new fire station and many industrial units. This was a huge field years ago and my children had so much fun playing here and riding their bikes.
Its a lovely tranquil area with benches further along the path, great for birdwatching or river fishing with a permit
