The Johnson Nature Preserve got a new facelift 10 years after the 1999 tornado. The .35 mile long paver walkway provides easy access to all and invites park visitors to come on in and enjoy the nature. Flower beds with native plants and cedar log benches allow for peaceful enjoyment of the local wildlife and natural setting in this valley of trees. The pergola provides just enough shelter for a small group discussion on nature and forest rebirth.
Although this cache is relatively close to Cornell Rd., There is an 8 foot high chain link fence preventing any access to JNP. There is NO access from I-71 nor any access from Cornell Rd. Use the JNP parking lot and enjoy the walk through the park. More often than not, you will see Bambi and her Mama as you walk the trails.
This cache replaces a mystery cache I had in the park that has been muggled. It was an ammo box, but it's now gone. This container is a large plastic jar with pill bottle inside containimg a logsheet. There is currently no SWAG but it can hold a few small items if you care to donate. Please note in your found log if you've drop something, so others may know. Thank You.
