Da Passo Giau una breve camminata porta, aggirando il Col Piombin alla forcella omonima. Da qui si può proseguire verso Forcella Giau e la piana del Mondeval oppure salita per la via normale verso il monte Cernera. Se si è fortunati lungo il versante di questo monte poco frequentato si possono vedere camosci pascolare liberamente.
Lo sguardo è sensazionale anche qui. Inquadrate tra le balze dei due monti su di un versante ammiriamo maestosa e lontana la Marmolada, sull'altro l'imponente e arcigna parete dei Lastoi.
La cache è di dimensioni small e all'interno troverete solamente il logbook. Portatevi una penna e buona caccia!
From Passo Giau a short walk leads, bypassing the Col Piombin to the saddle of the same name. From here you can continue towards Forcella Giau and the Mondeval plain or climb up the normal route towards Mount Cernera. If you are lucky you can see chamois grazing freely along the side of this little-visited mountain.
The look is sensational here too. Framed between the crags of the two mountains on one side we admire the majestic and distant Marmolada, on the other the imposing and grim wall of the Lastoi.
The cache is small in size and inside you will find only the logbook. Bring a pen and happy caching!
