Since a couple new caches were recently published above Gordon & Janet MacLean’s Incline Lake (which is now a meadow, thanks to the State ripping out their dam, home & UNR observatory a few years ago) we decided to go visit seven caches in dem hills around Ginny Lke that we’ve not previously visited.
This li’l bluff features a view of Big Blue that’s apparently seldom seen (no trail & no signs of ‘umans up here, other than a couple fairly ugly gummint forestry signs) hence the name.
To make the cache accessible in the winter, it’s chained about 16’ above ground level (elevation 8,636’), which gives it the 3.5, rather than 3 terrain rating) & contained a very well-engineered bi-blade vegie/fruit slicer, a bronzed railroad spike, two sea shells, a bungy, Star Wars decals, FIJA & 2nd Amendment brochures, an “America” DVD, golf ball, li’l green ball, German tiger keychain AND a fine Travel Bug!
