Micro Churches of Cyprus Series
Well the UK have the hugely popular 'Church Micro Series'...so why not have our own Micro Church series! There are plenty of lovely, random, neglected, well-kept, tiny and even not so tiny roadside churches dotted around our lovely island, so I thought why not have a series to celebrate them!
The Cache:
This one is set in a beautiful little spot, which is dedicated to 'Our Lady of Kantara' or 'Panagia Kantara'. There is also an inscription on the side of the micro church which asks for protection of motorists on the road. The site contains lots of helpful amenities for the weary traveller - including the cleanest best equipped WC i've come across in Cyprus, and a fountain tap for water (I'm not sure how drinkable it is), along with a statue of Nikos A. Kypiakou, a stone mosaic of Cyprus and plenty of shade and benches to take a rest at.
