You will want to start this adventure at the posted coordinates. From there, walk to the specified coordinates for eight signs. The directions to the final geocache location can be found by correctly answering the questions at the corresponding waypoints listed. Once you have the correct permutation of the directions, you will want to drive to the final. As with all letterbox caches, this one comes with a stamp that must stay inside the cache. Good luck!

- If there is a picture of Thistle, Head South
- If the word Illinois appears in the title of this sign, Head West
- If the there is a picture of a butterfly, Head West
- If there is a picture of Kentucky Bluegrass, Head North
C) Sign 2: (N 41° 52.174 W 087° 55.226)
- If the year 2009 marked the beginning of the conversion process, take a left at the next intersection.
- If the year 2010 marked the beginning of the conversion process, go straight (forward) at the next intersection.
- If the year 2011 marked the beginning of the conversion process, take a right at the next street.
- If the year 2012 marked the beginning of the conversion process, pull into the next parking lot you see.
D) Sign 3: (N 41° 52.201 W 087° 55.226)
- If the butterfly pictured is a Monarch, take a right at the next intersection.
- If the butterfly pictured is a Viceroy, take a left at the next intersection.
- If the butterfly pictured is a Swallowtail, go under a bridge
- If the butterfly pictured is a Painted Lady, stop at the next stop sign you see.
E) Sign 4: (N 41° 52.222 W 087° 55.227)
- If there are 6 steps, turn around, Bright Eyes.
- If there are 5 steps, take the next left.
- If there are 4 steps, go straight (forward) through the next intersection.
- If there are 3 steps, take the next right.
F) Sign 5: (N 41° 52.242 W 087° 55.227)
- If the sign is missing, take the 7th right you can take.
- If the 9th line down starts with a B, go under the bridge.
- If the 9th line down starts with an I, park in the next parking lot to your right.
- If the 9th line down starts with a T, take the next right.
G) Sign 6: (N 41° 52.267 W 087° 55.227)
- If the last word of the sign is insects, take the next left and park in the first available space.
- If the last word of the sign is resources, go to the eastern most corner.
- If the last word of the sign is drinking, walk across the field to the north.
- If the last word of the sign is rabbit, do the bunny hop.
H) Sign 7: (N 41° 52.291 W 087° 55.227)
- If the roots go down 0 - 5 feet, look for a light.
- If the roots go down 5 - 10 feet, look for a sign.
- If the roots go down 10 - 15 feet, look for a conifer.
- If the roots go down 15 - 20 feet, look for a guardrail.

- If the prairies affect reptile egg development, look down low.
- If the prairies affect mammal egg development, look eye level.
- If the prairies affect bird egg development, look ground level.
- If the prairies affect amphibian egg development, look above your head.
