She's got a great spot but be stealth as this is a popular area for walking the dog. This is also a great spot to bring the kids but take care near the water.
Be sure to tuck her back in out of view. BYOP.
A walk along the Boulder Bank is an opportunity not to be missed. The walk is very exposed, so be prepared for all kinds of weather, I must add this is a well cared for walking track looked after by the locals.
The Boulder Bank features in the legend of Te Taero a Kereopa, who escaped Kupe's wrath by paddling towards Nelson's shore while Kupe's waka was held offshore by a growing barrier of boulders. From early times Maori used the environs as a base for harvesting food and carried boulders from the Bank up to the argillite quarries to use them as hammer-stones.
