Sveti Rok
If you enjoy the drive on the old road to Hvar, leading through beautiful villages like Brusje, Velo Grablje or Selca, you will also pass this very magical picturesque place:
The locals call this viewpoint Sveti Rok, even if the chapel is dedicated to St. Dominic and St. Petronilla.
The chapel was donated by Ivan Budrović, who returned from America in 1937 in honor of his family, as can be seen from the inscription (memorial plaque above the entrance to the chapel).
Have a rest, enjoy the silence, the view and the smell of the nature…

Diesen Aussichtspunkt nennen die Einheimischen Sveti Rok auch wenn die Kapelle den heiligen Dominik und der Heiligen Petronilla geweiht ist. Die Kapelle wurde vom Amerikaheimkehrer Ivan Budrović zu Ehren seiner Familie im Jahre 1937 gestiftet, wie der Inschrift zu entnehmen ist (Gedenktafel über dem Eingang zur Kapelle).

Ovaj vidikovac mještani nazivaju Sveti Rok, kao i sam položaj, iako je kapela naslovljena na Sv. Dominiku i Petronili. Svoje Kapelu je dao podignuti povratnik iz Amerike Ivan Budrović u čast obitelji 1937. godine kako je to zabilježeno na natpisu (Spomen ploča iznad ulaznih vrata kapelice).
