This cache is a part of a series of Star Wars themed caches along the High Peak Trail. These caches are designed to be able to be found by cycling, walking, or (horse) riding and are available to most abilities. This cache highlights the notorious crimelord: Jabba the Hutt.
Jabba Desilijic Tiure was a Hutt gangster, crimelord and member of the Grand Hutt Council. He operated his criminal empire from his palace on the Outer Rim world of Tatooine, where he was a major figure, controlling the bulk of the trafficking in illegal goods, piracy and slavery that generated most of the planet's wealth.
During the Clone Wars, Jabba's influence and power over the Outer Rim, specifically its hyperlanes, was sought by both the Galactic Republic and the Seperatist Alliance, who both needed Jabba's approval. When Rotta (Jabba's son) was kidnapped, the crime lord promised his support to whoever could return his son. When the Separatists were revealed to have orchestrated Rotta's kidnapping, Jabba pledged his support to the Republic.
After Han Solo failed to repay him for lost cargo, Jabba placed a high bounty on his head. Solo was eventually delivered to him (frozen in carbonite) by one of his bounty hunters, Boba Fett, as a gift from Darth Vader. However, his capture brought him the attention of Jedi Knight Luke Skywalker who wished to rescue his friend from Jabba's palace. As he attempted to execute the Jedi and his allies in the great pit of Carkoon, Jabba was choked to death by Leia Organa.
The lid to the cache is fairly difficult to open, and may require teamwork to get it open. PLEASE SEAL IT TIGHTLY! The cache is located somewhere along the embankment and contains room for swaps and trackables. The embankment is also supported with rocks, so please proceed with care. It is not hidden in the wall.
