At WP1, you are at the HUB of a lot of community action and standing in the car park of the Mt Beauty Men's Shed AND the Neighbourhood Centre. Located in an accessible and picturesque setting overlooking the pondage, both organisations provide community connection and many services critical to the well being of locals in the valley. The Mt Beauty Men's Shed was incorporated in 2011 and since then has gone from strength to strength and is known for its community efforts, often helping out people in need behind the scenes as well as running the footy gate and other community activities. There is always something going on! The Neighbourhood Centre is a community organisation that provides a host of facilities and services for the community including vocational training, especially in hospitality and computer skills, has a garden cafe and Centrelink access. In 1991 the Mt Beauty Workmen’s Club donated a building to the Mount Beauty Neighbourhood Centre. Members of the community raised some $8,000 to have the building moved to its present location. Since then the Centre has had extensions and upgrades to become the Centre you see today. To find co-ords for GZ you are looking for "tiny tiles" that will give you the numbers you need.
