Tao-Lin Railway was used to transport coal. In 2005, Taoyuan City government rented 2 trains to transport passengers for free. In 2012, government stopped the service of these trains. At the end of 2018, Taoyuan City government renovated the old railway to the beautiful trail and bike path. The railway extends to 18.4 km. Now the bike path is still extending.
This section of the trail has a special feature. The luminous rocks are embedded in asphalt. So the trail looks very cool at night. This cache is a night cache, please come here at night. And you may need to use your flashlight to spot the area you’re searching for a few seconds. Then turn off the light, find the geo-stone. Get a feel for the feature of this luminous trail. That’s how it works. Go to the wooden platform which facing the bench area, a few meters from the end of platform. Find a luminous mark under a white metal bar between 2 UV lights. The cache is at the same line behind the rusty rail on the ground.
