congrats to ttomw for FTF!
PLEASE wear bright orange during hunting season! (The trail itself is a 2 – the terrain only goes up for the last 20 feet or so)
This geoart is in honor of my mother, formerly known as the flower lady of Portville. The cache names are just some of the varieties she has in her gardens. Read the description below to find the information needed to get the final coordinates of the cache.
Vigorous, charming and eye-catching, Campanula glomerata (Clustered Bellflower) is a useful perennial that brings early color and contrast to the garden. It features bouquets of eye-catching, violet-blue to white, upward facing, bell-shaped flowers, held in dense clusters. They sit atop sturdy leafy stems above basal rosettes of heart-shaped to oval green leaves. These clusters can have up to 15 flowers, therefore the common name of Clustered Bellflower. Blooming for 2-3 weeks from late spring to early summer, this spreading perennial does well in most soils. Easy to grow, virtually disease and pest free, this low care perennial is also deer and rabbit resistant and adored by hummingbirds, butterflies and bees.
