QT.Coon's Pirate Joe's Lost Diamonds
My daughter and QT.Coon wanted to create some fantastic Pirate themed caches for all children and adults to enjoy.
If this is your FIRST time Geocaching, please make sure you read the GEOCACHING 101 RULES.
We created a small cache, which resembles a mini Pirate Treasure Chest full of diamonds!
SORRY:Â This cache may NOT be available during very snowy winter months as it may become buried and hard to reach.

A short, but beautiful walk by a pond in the suburbs, this is a simple hide.
This is a great cache for parents to take their kids out which we hope will not only give them some wonderful memories, it may also help get them in the spirit of Geocaching. Make it a wonderful afternoon adventure and locate all 5 of QT.Coonâs Pirate Geocache Hides using this LIST.
We have indicated that it's not stroller friendly cache although if you have a stroller with the bicycle tires that would not be a problem! Â

Parking at the Magna Center (see waypoint) or limited parking in the side streets.
Watch for muggles! This is a busy walk way. Get to the mini treasure, sign the log and put the treasure back without anyone seeing you!Â
Oh, bye the way... YES you are welcomed to take 1 DIAMOND as a souvenir if you can find it!
Keep the rest of the diamonds there for other buccaneers to enjoy!

The Story of QT.Coon's Pirate Joe's Lost Diamonds

A long, long time ago, when NEWMARKET was very young and just starting, Pirates made their way through this area and stopped to take a rest. While they were camping, they hid their pirate chest because they didnât want anybody to steal it.Â
We know Pirates are not nice people. One pirate called pirate Joe went to the hidden treasure chest at night and stole some diamonds for himself without any other pirates knowing what he was doing.Â

When people living in the town of Newmarket wanted the pirates to leave, they worked together to chase the pirates away!Â
When pirate Joe was running away from the town people he tripped and lost his diamonds that he stole from the other pirate treasure chest.
He tried to look for them but could not find them!
Well, Pirate Joe never came back to Newmarket and its still somewhere here.
