Opened at its brand new location in 2019, the Waunakee Public Library is an artistic piece of property all around. From the architectural design, to the contributions of local artists that decorate the inside, this building is a gem for Waunakee. When you find this Cache, look up to the roof and you'll see a beautiful metal and colored glass sculpture created by local artist Don Esser. This piece is displayed on the Library's Green Roof. Don is quoted explaining it's meaning as "Like an arrow flying thru the sky, a book can take you to places you have never seen before.” If the library is open, take a peek inside at some of the other artwork that is displayed throughout the building, including murals, tapestries, paintings and more! If you're visiting during closed hours, talk a walk up to the glass windows and check out "History Hall" which displays various historical pieces relevant to Waunakee and is updated multiple times throughout the year.
