This area of the Glacial Lake Trail is part of the lake bed of Glacial Lake Wisconsin which covered Wisconsin over 15,000 years ago. This cache requires you to go a bit off trail and maybe even do a little bushwhacking depending on the time of year you visit.
This cache is being placed as part of the WGA 2020 Fall Picnic at Buckhorn State Park.
There is parking at the trailhead and this is the parking for the Glacial Lake Trail, Whispering Pines Trail and Timber Trail. A current Wisconsin State Park sticker is required to park a vehicle in any part of the park at any time of year.
