Hemlock Bridge, Fryeburg, Maine
This Covered Bridge is located on a gated road...the road is not maintained for winter use Nov. 1st to May 1st and I would recommend After Memorial day and before November 1st. There are gates at both sides of the road that leads to this Bridge and I'm under the impression they are closed Nov. 1st to May 1st. I would also recommend a daytime visit.

Hemlock Bridge, built in 1857, is a 109 foot Paddleford truss strengthened with laminated wooden arches. It was built on granite abutments since it was located in a floodplain. The bridge was reinforced to carry local traffic in 1988. Hemlock Bridge was designated as a Maine Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 2002.
It is located three miles northwest of East Fryeburg over an old channel of the Saco River.
